How we do it
Ferrets are inquisitive – and engineers even more so! Our Ferret team will chat to you so that we can start getting to know you and your business. This first introduction is usually a 30-minute cuppa over Zoom. It’s fast, it’s fun – and it’s free!
What we ask
Accountants should already be asking customers “do you have a granted patent?” But engagement with Patent Box starts with a different question – one beyond the remit of a finance professional. “Do I have anything patentable within my business?” is the question we should perhaps be asking.
Our Story
The idea of Patent Ferret goes back 20 years, to the early days of the design engineering consultancy PipSqueak Developments.
PipSqueak specialises in solving three-dimensional problems with solutions as unique as the challenges they solve. Often their designs incorporate tailor-made inventions – unique intellectual property (IP).

Our clients recognise the importance of not only solving their problems but of creating IP as a part of those solutions. Securing that IP via patents has become increasingly important in the last decade.

That conversation starts a trail of clues for our Ferret team to follow – we catch a scent of something valuable that sparks further questions.
